Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state.
But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people.
Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church.
It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family.
That was all he wanted. Simple.
It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his.

Tilvrade is born into a family of country nobility.
A baby with vague memories of another world, he begins his life trying to come to grips with the world he is in now, while fitting into his household's lifestyle and maid's loving attentions.
Soon, shadows of intrigue, creep out from the capital of the kingdom and disrupt his day to day. Revelations of odd vestiges of a civilisation spark memories of who he was.

Read if you enjoy reincarnation plots, medieval fantasy and a slow developing negative protagonist.
Don't read if you like fast developments and action. This story is overly detailed and not for everyone (The MC is still not a teenager as of chapter 40, if that gives you a hint of the pacing...)
An Archlich and his band of undead decided to leave their stronghold after doing nothing for a thousand years. Instead of ravaging the lands and haunting the living, they decided to tour the fantasy world which had changed for a thousand years!
Follow the band of necro-tourists explore the world, discovering new inventions, realizing the stagnant state of the world, uncovering a catastrophic event that led to the extinction of a race, joining a heroes' party by accident, and meeting the God of Death itself as they maintain incognito!
Reality shifts and Alexa finds herself trapped in a world far more dark and deadly than the one she knows. Her new body is stronger and faster, and she feels a connection to the magic around her, but it may not be enough to protect the scattered remnants of humanity she comes across.
My first fic, written for Nanowrimo and continued because people liked it.
Arc 1: Foundation (Chapters 001 - 017)
Arc 2: Haven (Chapters 018 - 033)
Arc 3: In Progress (Chapters 034 - ???)
Here I am, sitting on a mountain so far away from civilisation it might as well be the godforsaken arse of the world, about to ascend. Can't wait to leave this crapfest of a planet... Turns out that the higher ups decided that an unaffiliated rogue like me is too big of a risk to let run around free.
Seems like this entire cultivation world is a late stage capitalist money making machine for the powers that be in the higher realms, and me stealing the good loot in front of their descendants and sect disciples noses finally pissed them off enough to take action.
First, they sent all the sect masters and hidden dao protectors to off me - which failed, obviously. Heh, afterwards they simply bitch slapped me out of their universe though.
That is interesting and all, but I just woke up in a valley watching some critters murder each other while trying not to freak out about how bad it smells here.
Soo… where the fuck am I? Why is that deer fighting a feathery squirrel? Why am I teaching this baby rabbit saved from a cannibalistic mother how to kick beings in the face with the power of qi?
I never thought I'd be killed by butterflies. But here I am...
Edmon Valli was a smuggler, before a freak storm threw him off course and stranded him on a desert island smack in the middle of an uncharted monster zone. Trying his best to survive, or possibly even escape, he stumbles across the find of a lifetime: an unclaimed dungeon crystal.
This is a dungeon-ish story, but without reincarnation or transmigration. I started it as a whim for NaNoWriMo so I may drop it any time after that... or I might not. My current plan is to write until I can reach some sort of conclusion and call it 'volume one'. I hope someone enjoys reading it for now!
All comments, corrections, and criticism welcome.
This story is on hiatus/abandonned.
People die, then that's all... or at least, it should be that way. There may be anomalies, yes – the occasional hero of old getting reincarnated for some obscure purpose – but who knows what the gods are thinking. If they are thinking at all. If there are gods, to begin with.
What would explain such a mistake, then? The hero mark wasn't given to our reborn champion, but to his perfectly normal sister. A prank from these mindless gods, perhaps. Luckily for him, he was done with this hero business and had other plans for his new life, so it's all good... Here is the story of one who isn't meant to stand among heroes, kings and emperors anymore, yet will find himself holding power over them.
If you were to ask someone what they thought of Revian Snow, they would say that she's small. Cute too. Doesn't talk much. Average grades, and hard to find in a crowd, though you'd think that someone with her looks would be more noticeable. She also plays the popular VRMMO's for some reason, but doesn't like to interact with others too much, even online.
In short, she doesn't stand out too much.
She likes it that way—After all, it's much easier to keep a secret when nobody's looking for one.

In a time before the existence of the present, the gods decided to create a plane of existence where all their creations could exist in the same place. In it, all would be fair, and all gaps between races and technological advancements could be crossed with a single system that the gods had created. Every year, the gods would choose a new race to put in their land, and in this new group of beautifully unlucky people, Alen, his friends, and a few people from Earth have finally met their turn to be tossed into the playground of the gods.
Unfortunately though, Alen was thrust into a forest of corpse-eating bears and horribly smelly undead on his first day, one of the many danger-zones of the continent the gods had chosen to throw them in. It would be easy to say that he simply died within the first day, or that he'd starved to death or whatever, but let's be honest...
That story would be no fun to tell, yes?
(Re-write of my first fiction with the same name.)
This is the Tale of G.O.D. (And how Humanity never reached the Stars)
Antioch is a sheltered being and knows little about the world. Although he harbours his own secrets, he doesn't comprehend the scale of the adventure he is about to embark on. Being locked up in a research station, he is content with his fate, but when he starts receiving strange messages, he suspects that not everything is well in his little world.
When it's abruptly decided that the project has to be ended, Antioch is faced with the large world outside his prison.
He won't like what he finds... and there are powers at play who would love to put the escaped subject back into the box.
But as in so many tales, it's hard to close Pandora's Box once it was opened.
The king is dead; his heir is too young to assume the throne. Jarl Vale wants to become Lord Protector, spurred by his ambitious brother Konstans. Jarl Isarn likewise seeks this power; he is aided – or thwarted – by the return of his brother, the knight and war hero Athelstan, whose squire, Brand, hopes to restore his family’s fortunes, cost what it may. Through all of this, an enigmatic traveller makes plans with jarls, scribes, and priests for his own purpose. Abroad, powerful forces sense division in the realms of Adalmearc and make their own plans. It is only a matter of time before schemes clash, plots collide, and conflict erupts. War is on the horizon.
Story updates every second Wednesday with a new chapter from the second book of the series. The first book can be downloaded as an ebook from my site, where a map of the world can be viewed. The site also contains other background information such as history of the realms, pantheon and religion, calendar etc.
The future became a peaceful utopia in the Core Regions. No crime, no wars, no conflicts, even rude behavior is rare.
People became complacent and lazy.
The main character isn’t a hero or a typical protagonist. Calling him an… opportunist would be the least offensive probably. In this age, he’s sticking out like a sore thumb.
Who would notice a few shady happenings when crime is a foreign concept and there is nobody to catch you?

Luneil was born a monster. Can Bas become one?

This is the story of how a deathtrap becomes a haven, and how a good man becomes a killer.
This my first time ever putting a story online. I will be adding chapters at least once a week, chapters are ~3500-5500 words although there may be outliers. This story is eventually intended for publishing via Amazon, however, you have my word it will be left up for at least five weeks from the time it is completed (at which point I might be posting the second installment on here), so you don't need to worry about it disappearing overnight. Also, bear in mind that this is all a first draft before any significant edits. There will likely be spelling, grammar and continuity errors, I will address them as soon as I spot them or you point them out. I read every comment (and reply, time permitting). Please feel free to criticize (I suspect I have a somewhat longwinded writing style, shouting really does help :) ), and above all enjoy.
As an update, I have recently been working on a map of the region. It is currently unfinished but is in a reasonable enough state to display here (the color will be absent in the final version and is simply a visual aid while work on the map is in progress):
So a sad day begins when you wake up to find out you’ve been kidnapped, stashed with a bunch of strangers in a strange place, and you’re riding on a steam train headed God knows where.
An awesome day begins when you kill the crap out of a zombie, survive a train crash, outrun a hungry horde and wake up the next day with super powers.
A freaky day begins when you die without dying and a tank of talking fluid tells you you’re being recruited as a representative of humanity to decide if they’ll fight in a galactic war or get left in the dust.
I love my life.
Ever since Ashida finished school, all he does is read the manga "One Piece" or play video games. But one day, he has a heart attack and dies. When he opens his eyes, there is a blue screen floating in front of him and he finds himself in the One Piece world.
Note - I don't intend this to be extremely serious. I make it for myself to enjoy writing and reading, and to share that with everyone. That also means that chapters' length may vary, depends on my ideas.
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece or anything mentioned in this story from the original manga.
Endless Online - Book 1: Oblivion's Blade (A LitRPG adventure)
Val had returned from his latest tour of duty maimed and scarred in body and soul. At an age when most kids were still in college, he had been fighting for his life in global hotspots no government official would dare admit to, with crippling wounds and horrific memories his only rewards for services diligently rendered. Barely able to walk and drugged to the gills for pain, he thought his killing days were finally behind him.
He couldn't have been more wrong.
Endless Online, a hyper futuristic game where players could truly live another life. Val's friend couldn't resist the siren call to embrace that thrill and when she turns up missing, Val knew it was time for one last covert mission, only to find that the game was far more than it seemed. Far from being the masters of this grand new game of epic space battles, wizards, warriors, and intergalactic conquest, the people of Earth were about to become its greatest prize.
Jack and his friends have been avid Dungeons and Dragons players for a long time. When one day--
--What? Why do I get top billing? Because you're making me do the description, that's why. Hey, if you don't like it, you can do your own dirty work, okay? Geez...
Anyways, one day they find themselves in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, so--
--How else would I tell it? I don't think there's a right or wrong way to do this. Stop interrupting me and let me finish, okay? Is that all right? Can you trust me for like, twenty seconds?
Where was I? Oh, so they have to survive in this unforgiving world--
--What do you mean, 'more bravado'? I'm a bard, bravado is all I've got. You know what? Shut up, you deserve this.
So, this Jack guy is like, the coolest person in the world. So smart, so strong, and boy do the ladies just fawn over him. It's really embarrassing. He has to save his worthless friends time and again because they're the most useless idiots on the planet--both Earth and wherever Dungeonia happens to be. I mean, this one time we were... okay, they stormed off. Sorry about that. Now, I had this whole thing planned out, but the moment's been ruined, you know?
So I'll just say this: Read "Nerds in Dungeonia". It's fun, it's informative, it's interesting.
Now it's already the third round for the strange chicken loving being that was called Clair, Dexter and Kara. What will it do if it has the chance to roam the world of One Piece? And will it be able to hold on to its love of Kurama? Will the Straw Hats be their enemy, their ally or is there maybe no connection to them at all?
Follow it and see how it builds its own crew and sails the Grand Line, leaving chaos and doing questionable things on her road to the One Piece. But remember, only one thing is sure, there will be chicken!
Yeah, my third story, if you exclude the one shot^^. Hope I won't struggle with a good end, as I have with the others.... But be warned, there is a high chance that I will have to place it on Hiatus for some time. But that won't happen until I reach the current One Piece storyline. And maybe I will kill them off somewhere along the line, remember the Grand Line is dangerous^^.
The cover is made by NBadonK, and remade by OnLin3. The size was not matching RR's standards....
Blue mages learn skills from beasts. This is the story of one fortunate enough to be taken in by dragons.
Please note that this is the original, unpublished, web-novel version.
The story will continue with Book 2 in August 2017.
