As the scion of a noble family and son of a world famous general, Enzo Nicoli has a pretty comfortable life. Well, minus two things... one, his dad’s a bit of a jerk, and two, he’s got a crush on a girl way out of his league: the Princess of Ecedia, Solia. Things get even worse when the Princess is set to be engaged, and to a total prick, no less!

So, all Enzo can do is pray. Until one day, ehen his prayers are answered... in person.

Something’s gone wrong with fate. In the gods’ design, Enzo and Solia were supposed to get together, not her and that prick! Now, only Enzo can get destiny back on track.

Paired up with an angel named Ephie, Enzo will have to set out on the adventure of a lifetime if he wants any chance of getting the girl of his dreams. Can he take the danger? The thrills? The boredom? Find it all out in The Rune Chronicles: All’s Fair in Love and War!

Judging  solely from your first chapter, I’d say... I’m hooked! The only issue is that the MC is kind of bland. I’d rather hear more about his dad or the princess. He doesn’t seem to have much personality beyond liking the princess and being awkward. Still, he’s well written enough to be effective.

Another gripe I have is that your writing is very technical. It’s efficient enough for telling your story, but it doesn’t have a lot of interesting description save for a few choice things in the second segment.

I might edit this as more chapters come out.
