It appears that I have transmigrated to another universe, but where is my crippled dantian and broken meridians? How come I don’t have garbage talent? Surely there must be a world shaking artifact waiting to be found right???
What’s that, I’m the young master who the hero is going to trample over? The stepping stone that’s forgotten in 20 chapters?
“To hell with that, I’m the one who is going to be doing the face slapping here”
(The mc is going to defy every cliché trope I can think off and turn things his way)
I don't own the cover. It just fits my image of the protagonist and I'll probably change it in the future.
Genesis has it all to become someone great.
Power, Determination, Commitment, Brilliance, Sheer Will.
However, he is within the grasp of his asshole of a Father who only desires to use his gifts for his own benefits.
Yearning to break free, he sets into a journey to change his fate, taking sanctuary within his Great-Grandfather's Ancestral House and cutting all contacts with his family.
Then one day, just a few weeks after his 16th Birthday. A package and a letter from his departed Great-Grandfather arrived at his doorstep containing an invitation to enter the world of Eternal Empire, the VRMMORPG that literally conquered the World due to its 100% Realism.
And along with the invitation was the revelation that Jenova Corp, the company that created Eternal Empire is offering a share of their company to the First Player who can reach the Top and Conquer the Game.
With the discovery of such riches within Gaming, an extent enough to buy himself his Freedom, Genesis stepped forward into the Game and aim to reach the Top.
"This is his story as he create Legends while taking the Path of Conquering the Worlds in the persona of the Enigmatic and All-Powerful Grimm, The Mythical Detective."
Sean Cook was an underachieving attention-deficient teen, content to coast through junior year of high school, until a freak accident grants him the power to instantly assimilate the content of any book at a touch. Suddenly Sean finds the sum total of human knowledge literally at his fingertips, and impossible dreams aren’t quite so impossible after all…
Life and freedom. Those desperate desires that consume humanity. As Augustus starts playing Gods' Nature due to coincidence, he finds himself learning more about the world, the people he knows and himself. A thoughtful approach to virtual reality and the nature of life.
*This work is under constant improvement. Half a chapter every Saturday.
In one city, a mysterious bladesmith of considerable skill appears. Nobody seems to know much about the person, or even seen his face. What they do know, however, is that the skill of the enigmatic bladesmith could swing any number of undercurrents in the city, the kingdom, and maybe even the world itself.
Ah, hello there! A bit of a word from the author—or me, since I am the author. Suprising, ain't it?
Anyway, I just wanted to warn you that this is pretty much a sand-box fiction. A test-bed of sorts meant to try out ideas, improve on various concepts, and see what does and doesn't work. As such, this isn't one of those great and flawless fictions. There are plot holes. There are dropped themes and ideas, and things tend to jump around. I'd advise you to not take this fiction too seriously, since it's not really meant to be serious.
Thanks, and I hope you enjoy it regardless!
"It seems I was reincarnated as something that isn't human into a different world... something that drains my sanity when I look into the mirror... and as the child of the demon queen no less. A demon queen who eats humans. And makes me eat humans, too.
This is all just a dream, right?
Well, I'll enjoy this craziness as long as it lasts. Maybe it'll make for a good story at school next morning. It's really a dream, right?
A normal, albeit tomboyish, Japanese high school girl is reincarnated as a monster made up of tentacles, in a world of sword and magic, and beings that drain one's sanity simply by existing. She is thrown out into the wilderness with the condition to return to the demon castle within three years, to have a claim to the throne.
But she does not really feel the urge to do so... or will her secret Chuunibyou heart beat faster at the prospect of becoming the next demon lord after all?
In regards to the tags, I know the "harem" one is frowned upon. But the protagonist is female and she's a lesbian, and she isn't magically loved by every girl that sees her while being an indecisive c-word. Give it a try.
Current Release Schedule: One to two chapters every week. Expect an announcement if I can't keep to that.
Standalone spin-off featuring Senka: Red Mantis and Avenger Doll
Cover art by Oracle125.
A story of two people in their early twenties, an always expressionless(?) Aya, and cool(?) Tyson. Loves, friendships, and the small moments pile up in this odd(?) love story.
Tyson, suffering from long-lasting unrequited love, meets Aya, an odd, expressionless girl from his classes. As the curiosity about each other draws them together, it slowly sparks a friendship founded on honesty with which the two deal with one another. It is a story about two ordinary college students with their own, small circumstances, and love which blossoms between the two of them.
To be taken to another world; isn't that the kind of thing that nearly everyone wishes for once in their life? To use their savvy knowledge of how things usually go in that situation to take advantage, and lead a life where they are the center and in control of their destiny.
But in the stories, the one who is brought ends up with a grand power to help them through. Here, a man is brought to a foreign world as his new character in the VRMRPG, Underworld of Armok, at Level 1. In safety there are few benefits, only by taking risks far beyond his level could one proceed.
Transported to another world, he wishes to do good and be a hero. Accumulating power to help the less fortunate. There's just one caveat; he's a Necromancer, and his greatest source of strength will probably get him lynched.
Another video game/isekai novel. Unfortunately, the MC has crossed over during character creation of a Necromancer and is Level 1. He also lacks the ever so helpful status window.
I plan to update Wednesdays, at least!
Fair warning, the Friendly Villager Necromancer arc(1) is slow. He does not want to run out into the dangerous world to get killed right after arriving. Sucks to be Level 1, eh? Git gud scrub.
The Thread, in case you get a bit confused about people/places.
[16+] Now probably! For strong language and violence! And anthropophagy and lewd intimations! And stupid jokes and obscure references! And philosophical ditherings and a slow pace! Make peace with the absurd, and come to terms with the terrible!
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him.
Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness.
Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down...
If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will.
Shall we see what happens next?
Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise):
I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here.
It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think.
It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord.
Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
In the year 2018 a bright star appeared near Earth. Humanity as a whole was briefly introduced to a race of beings far beyond their understanding. During that brief interaction a proclamation was made, Defeat the Grand Emissary or become the eternal slaves of those who had arrived at Earth.
The only chance for victory was for people all across the globe to make a choice. When prompted to become a champion and a play a bizarre game of life or death they could choose yes or no. Those who chose no, went about their lives afterward. All memory of the event was lost despite the fact that their very existence as a free species hung by a single thread.
Will those who said yes manage to survive the horror of the game and become strong enough to defeat the Grand Emissary. Can one of them become... The Galactic Fist of Legend.
Also, it's a comedy. Pretty obvious, right?
Notes: This story will contain graphic violence, stupid humor, nudity, sexiness, and maybe I'll give the main character a pet cat or something. I don't know yet. Still, you need to be pretty mature to properly take care of a pet.
Notes2: This story is my answer to stories such as Gantz, Terror Infinity, Battle Royale, Btoom!, and strangely enough... Captain N: The Video Game Master. It is an original story, but it does seek to give a similar vibe to some of those tales of legend. However, it is not meant to be an overly serious tale as I have decided that the new stories that I release in the coming year will be mostly comedies.
Business tycoon Liam West never wanted for anything in his life, but when he laid eyes on Sienna Carmichael, he found one simple wish—to take her home and make her his wife. Fate granted him his wish and joined them in matrimony. Four years later, his once happy home now lies in shambles after murder struck his family and robbed him of his wife and their unborn child. Now he is hell-bent on the path of vengeance, seeking out all those responsible for their deaths.
As Sienna “Angel” Carmichael wakes up from the accident that stripped her of her memories, she finds one simple wish—a safe place to belong. Fate denies her wish and thrusts her into a war between the living and the dead. Now she has another simple wish – to survive.
When the crimson rain falls, and the undead roam the streets, these two will cross paths again... Hand in hand, they will lead mankind on a campaign for the ultimate war for survival.
Min was born in a tribe of Goblins, where she became a hunter due to her great stats. As a hunter, she lived a simply life with her hunting friends, leveling peacefully. But what happens when the Elven Kind discovers a great source of Mithril in their little cave system?
Warning: This fiction will contain great amounts of sex and violence. Goblin society in my story is a carnal one, where everyone has sex with everyone, even there own siblings... maybe parents too, who knows. Min will be subject to gang bangs by her hunting friends from chapter 2 onwards, albeit, willingly. Rape might enter the story in the future and it also might not.
This is a story I write on a whim, just for fun. I can't promise very regular releases, since I work 12 hours every day.
Harem tag is more of a reverse Harem tag, I guess. Although, it's also possible that she will become part of a harem. I haven't really planned anything :P
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends.
Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive.

Nathan Jacobs was just another kid from suburban US. No super powers, no special skills, and, more importantly, no direction. With his senior year of high school coming to an end, Nate is approached by representatives of the international law agency, UNIX. They want him, as well as a team of two other teenagers to infiltrate a college in the mid Pacific called Nowhere Island University.
However, Nowhere Island University is not a normal school. Nate, due to enrolling in the Academy of Military Science as part of his mission, is thrust into the brutal Hell Semester, a special course for the people who want to be mercenaries. There, he meets mob hitmen, former child soldiers, mysterious martial artists, cat girls working for secret societies, and many more strange people.
Meanwhile, events outside NIU are transpiring, threatening to destroy the world, or maybe just kill a huge amount of people. Can Nathan stop it? Or will he die in Hell Semester?
Updates every Wednesday.
(If you enjoyed Oblivion's Blade, please follow this story! Here the tale will continue after books 1&2 are finished!)
Dumped into a strange and dangerous fantasy world, Cato struggles to find out what happened to him and where he is. And how to survive, there's still an army of monsters to worry about after all. For the enemy is far more dangerous than anyone had ever figured and without help, there might be no one left to save by the time Morey finds the sword.
Perhaps there are advantages to not being a Hero. And perhaps not all the legends are true...

Now we've all heard stories about people who died and were born again with their memories intact. The form of the reincarnator changes from story to story: human, elf, orc, slime, vampire, goblin; you name it, someone wrote it. But what if you were reborn in the most common of houshold objects?
What would happen if someone reincarnated as a fork?
Involves: merciless fork jokes, monsters, magic n' all that stuff, some profanity, maybe some gore (i'll keep it light), fork philosophy, and if you got advice on where to go next with the novel, comment, coz I only got a hazy outline. Read my other novel here: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/13058/odyssey-of-the-unrivalled
